Enhance the Experience
Don’t you love how Nintendo and Sony are trying to sell you the same handhelds over and over? It’s almost as if they want to reward the people who don’t get their hardware right away. But in case of the DS its excellent library even early on made it hard to resist. And once you have the thing you feel reluctant to buy it again.
On the other hand most of these revisions are considerable improvements over previous models and well worth buying. Take the stylus for example. On the Phat DS playing touch controlled games over extended periods felt very uncomfortable because the stylus was so short. I’d even get cramps from holding that thing. So the bigger stylus was actually one of the reasons I got the DS Lite.
I ended up buying every installment of the DS, and each one faster than the one before. Bigger stylus really enhances the DS experience.
